War destroys. It takes able people, and pits them against one another. The only accomplishment war brings is destruction. Destruction of life and peace is only prize. War destroys.
The image of a headstone marks the place where an unknown solider lies under the earth. All soldiers who die in the line of duty die too young. Their deaths are usually one of pain and agony. They fought for their home, their country, their family, and their rights. They fought because they were told to fight, or they felt compelled to defend their country. And their payment was a somber sleep. No matter the war, lives are lost, families are torn apart and mothers lose their children. No parent should outlive their own children- it’s unnatural.
